    3. Whilst copying an entry from the 1901 census for Toronto, Canada for a relation of mine, Lewis TEAGLE, originally from Oldbury-on-the-Hill, who emigrated to Canada in 1882, and lived at 26 Irwin Ave, Toronto in 1901, I noticed that the head of household of the family immediately underneath was a Charles BLEAKEN, 57, wid, born England on 11 March 1844, year of entry to Canada 1882. His daughter Annie, 20, was also born England (29 March 1881) and entered Canada 1882. (There were two later sons aged 13 born Ontario, Albert born 2 May? 1887, and Frank born 16 Feb? 1886 (months difficult to read). Could Charles BLEAKEN be from Hawkesbury - families emigrating at the same time often seem to have stayed together. My Dad had BLEAKEN cousins in Hawkesbury (descended fro Giles Beard Bleaken), and I know there was a Charles BLEAKEN born 1844 (married Emma MANNING, 1866, Hawkesbury)living on Inglestone Common in 1881, with an unnamed infant daughter aged 6 days. Does anyone know if this Charles BLEAKEN stayed in Hawkesbury, or could he be the one in Toronto in 1901? PS. If this is of interest to any BLEAKEN researchers who want to view this entry on the orininal 1901 Toronto census page on the web (it's free unlike the England 1901 census, but not name indexed)I have a note of the relevant reference/schedule/page no. About 45yrs ago I remember visiting Nedrie(BLEAKENbut I don't remember her married name.
