Hi Robert and All I had a look at the 1891 & 1901 census entries on Robert's Wonderful webpages and found Edwin /Jesse and his wife Mary age 36 and 32 respectively on both censuses. As you say, Robert, good trick that - think i'll try it too. Wouldn't they would have been too young to have had a daughter who married in 1881 I couldn't find Edwin Jesse BAKER and his wife Mary Ann on the 1881 census. but there is a Mary A. BAKER, Widow, pauper age 64, born Avening, living at High St Upton with her son Jesse BAKER age 26 Ag Lab, also born Avening. Also a Lucy BAKER age 17 born Hawkesbury Upton is a servant to Joseph HARDING and family, Primitive Methodist Minisiter, living at Middle St, Stroud. Is this the Lucy who married Evan STINCHCOMBE? So are you looking for a Mary Ann WATTS who married Edwin Baker the son,or the father? I have 2 Mary Ann WATTS seeking a husband. One is the daughter of William WATTS & Elizabeth nee GULWELL bapt. April 21 1833. The other was born about 1847, daughter of Lewis WATTS and his wife Mary. There are several Mary WATTS who might also fit the bill. Does anyone have any info on a widow by the name of Mary Ann WATTS who married William CORDY in 1852 in the registration district of Chipping Sodbury? I believe Mary was the proprietor of a public house in Wickwar, at least that is where she appears in the 1851 Census. After their marriage William CORDY is listed as the proprietor. I'l looking for her previous husband, her maiden name, and her parents. Any link?
