Hi Adrian, I wonder if there is any connection between your CHAPPLEs and this marriage from Long Newnton: Zebulon HAREWELL yeoman of Charlton, Malmesbury married Mary CHAPEL also of Charlton, young woman by licence at Long Newnton on 24 Feb 1747. The bondsman was John CLARK alias HILLIER, labourer of Brokenborough. Why they both married at Long Newnton is a puzzle, but we're fairly certain Zeb's father died while he was young and he may have moved in with his uncle Charles (long story).
