Comments etc on the following welcomed. There were 2 Thomas CARTER's christened at Hawkesbury in this time period. The first was on the 19th of June 1808 and has Mary alone as the mother. I am assuming that Janet has got a copy of the Bastardy papers to have the name Thomas SIMS. The second Thomas was son of James CARTER and Elizabeth THOMSPON and christened on the 21st May 1809. Thomas married Martha and based on Janet's evidence I am more than prepared to cede that it was Thomas son of Mary who did so. That leaves the question what happened to the other Thomas ?? I don't know yet but I will find out and I will amend all my records accordingly. I will also check all the other CARTER info against what I have and see what I can come up with.
