I have a slightly poor photocopy ofthe parish register entry of the marriage on the 25th of October 1840 of Henry CARTER to Elizabeth SUMPTION (?). Henry is listed as full age and as the son of Elijah CARTER whose occupation may be Haulier but I am not sure. The witnesses are William CARTER and John WINBOW. John WINBOW appears to be a witness at lots of Hawkesbury weddings. The question is why ??
