    3. I'm sure I won't need the bat either Anne, but thought it might amuse folks as a new vision of discipline - as you see, very few folks have faith in the English ability with the willow these days!!! Cricket is a family thing with me too - and I'm not convinced it isn't because my Dad has a picture of James HULBERT complete with beard a la WG Grace - I think I must have got the 2 confused at some point :-) Marilyn ----- Original Message ----- From: "Brian Maye" <bmaye@ozemail.com.au> To: <ENG-GLO-HAWKESBURY-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, April 10, 2005 11:03 PM Subject: [HWK] Cricket > It seems that the cricketing skills that Marilyn has inherited were > transported with my ancestors too. 3. Hi Marilyn, Are you sure that pic of James HULBERT à la W G Grace hasn't been digitally enhanced!! Or maybe it's too old. hehehe. Re your comment about the English team not doing so well with the willow in recent years .. I'm afraid I think cricket is not necessarily about winning at all costs, as certain members of the Australian team seem to think. Cricket ain't cricket any more methinks.
