Hi, All Some basic geography here, if you don't mind me butting in! I haven't followed the trail so I don't know which 1891 census was being referred to. However Taff''s Well is situated on the river Taff, north of Cardiff. It can never have been in Gloucestershire as there is the whole of Mon still to go before we get to Gloucs. I can only suggest this was an appalling transcription of Tog Hill which is in Gloucs. I hope this helps somewhat! There should be three names for each reference number in FreeBMD, but this time there are two women and one man listed. The man is Henry Charles WATTS. Is this another TOGHILL/WATTS marriage? I think we should be told. If it is, it seems from the 1881 census that Henry Charles was born Eglwysilan, but that his father James was a stone quarryman from Monksilver, Somerset. Incidentally, this all seems to be part of Louise's branch of the Toghill clan.
