Hi Carole We are having a busy evening packing up old Dinky Toys which we have sold on e-bay, so I have not had a real chance to examine the information from Kay Buchanan. However, it all looks good to me, and is a sparkling example of what you can find out in a short space of time from online sources. The missing item seems to be the death of Edward Toghill, but I have found one in FamilyRelatives.org. Edward Toghill, age 23, died in Bath R.D. March quarter 1888. This is the same quarter that he was married. The reference is 5c 505. The birth of Edward George Toghill is recorded in Newport, Mon R.D. in the December quarter 1888. The reference is 11a 148. This means that Edward George never knew his father. We must all be grateful that Carole spends her time in cemeteries. Hi Bob The missing item that you refer to is actually my record of the inscription on the gravestone! I still can't find my notes. Looks as if I may have to spend some more time in that cemetery! Kay always amazes me by the way he combines online sources and reshapes them into family units, picking up on clues that I would have overlooked. It does prove that no matter where you live, with access to the internet you can carry out a lot of research from home. That is something for which we should all be grateful! Hope you're still playing with your Dinky toys and not selling all of them! Don't suppose you have a Model T Ford? My husband is desperate for one and I can't afford the real thing. Toghilling off!
