This is just a registration of interest- the connection between my own family - the HULBERTs and the WATTS family is something I have known about for many years but only proved in the last 2 weeks (thanks to someone on this list pointing out I'd missed yet another spelling variation for my family name). My great great aunt JANE HULBERT married Thomas Amos Watts in 1872 and had a son called George. This is obviously too late to be yours, and unfortunately the WATTS family(s) were fairly widespread in Hawkesbury and surrounds at the time - they need some work which needs time I don't currently have. However when I get time at home (where all my research is) I will see if I can be more constructive.
