Hi I have a Martha ALLIN(ALLEN) marrying Thomas CREW on 8 February 1792 in Hawkesbury. I received information from Robert Millard stating that Martha was the daughter of William ALLEN and Mary HAYWARD. However, I am a little confused as William and Mary didn't get married until 1772 and Martha was born in 1768 (to a William ALLEN and Mary on the IGI). I also have a Daniel and John ALLEN/ALLIN as brothers of Martha, with 2 more possible brothers being William and James. Can anyone help clear this up. Nikki

Hi Nikki William ALLEN / IN and Mary had at least 5 children Daniel b,10 Jul 1764 John b,28 Sep 1766 Martha b,2 nd Oct 1768 mar Thomas CREW 8th Feb 1792 Died 15 Oct 1835 William b,7 Mar 1772 James b, 14 Mar 1779 we have a marriage to Mary HAYWARD in Kingswood nr W-U-E 18 Aug 1772 this may be his second marriage if not his first or another William and Mary. we do know that the register does say William Allin and Mary on all entries I would say this is a married couple often if the mother is not married the register gives Maiden name and fathers name and the Kingswood marriage perhaps his second Mary? we do know that Hawkesbury ALLENS are connected to the Kingswood ALLENS there is evidence in the burial registers.
