I imagine that Ann MAY have been a second marriage and that the chn starting from John may be hers. I have just found son John's death in the new SA Death Index (1842-1915 m/f and CDROM - very little useful info apart from age, death date and place) and he is given as John Crump TEAGLE - could this have been Ann's maiden name?
