Whilst looking for the burial of Elizabeth MINETT nee LIMBRICK I spotted the burial of Kitty MEALING in 1841. Kitty isn't a common name thought I. Could by chance she be our Kitty THOMPSON born 1795 daughter to Samuel. Kitty married John CLARK in 1818, is mentioned in her fathers 1823 will and had a son Jesse who died in 1822 aged 19 months. John Clarke died in 1821 aged 26 leaving Kitty free to marry Richard MEALING in 1824. There were 6 children from this marriage. Only one appears in the burial register before the 1851 census. Only the 2 boys appear in the 1851 census. The 3 remaining girls and their father appear to be missing from GLS. have you seen them ? Geoffro The Pond Dipper
