The next few weeks will be busy for all of us with lots of things to see and do. Next Friday is the meeting of Hawkesbury Local History Society at the village hall starting between 7.30 and 8pm. This month the discussion will be on beds which is a subject dear to The Pond Dippers heart as he spends so much time there. Thursday August 24th from noon will be your opportunity to meet one of our Canadian listers Ronda WICKS over lunch in The Beaufort. Friday the 25th the SHIPP sisters will be at Gloucester Record office and Mr and Mrs Pond Dipper hope to be there as well. Saturday the 26th is of course Hawkesbury Show the main event of village life and definitely not teo be missed. I am hoping that Lavender Cake will be on sale. Geoffro The Pond Dipper
