It is true it has been quiet. My apoligies if you feel The Pond Dipper has been neglecting you. We are now well on our way to 60 members. Those listers who have joined us in the past few days are hereby heartily welcomed and encouraged to post details of themselves and their Hawkesbury researches as soon as possible so that we can assist you and determine to which of us you are related. The past few days has been spent checking over some of my old files, as well as pursuing new lines of research. I hope to have news from the Methodist archives in Manchester soon. I have also been learning a new web publishing programme so that I can more easily update the web pages. To those who have not yet off list message replies forgive me I will attend to you soon. Remember all are welcome to join us on Saturday when we invade the Hillesley Street Baptist Chapel Graveyard to unearth ( Put the spade down Robert) its secrets. We will leave the Beaufort at 12 noon. I have finally finished inputting the data into the THOMPSON / SHIPWAY file (only the Mary Jane THOMPSON side) and it now stands at 2063 individuals. This will hopefully be distributed to the cousins in a day or two if no new information arrives before then. I hope to be able to do some work with The Grave Robber and Benson around the STINCHCOMBE and CHAPPELL families. Adrian Sheppards work will be a tremendous benefit here. Bernadette has kindly started indexing the 1881 Hawkesbury strays for us and I shall continue indexing the burial register between 1813 and 1884 at every chance. Thats about if for now. Happy Hunting. Geoffro The Pond Dipper
