Hi Moira, My SHIPWAY interests were through the Wilmot THOMPSON/ John SHIPWAY connection, until I found out about this other lot!! I'm hoping the two SHIPWAYs are linked, as I'm not having much luck going further back from John SHIPWAY b. 1793 in Rodborough who married Eliza ALDRIDGE in 1817, and with their family arrived in Sydney in 1839.
