On his marriage certificate (2 April 1842 at St. Stephen, Bristol)Thomas is shown as the son of Daniel Watts farmer - presumably Daniel & Sarah WATTS of Hawkesbury. All information gratefully appreciated. In particular, if anyone can help me place Thomas and Daniel & Sarah on the 1841 census I would be grateful. > > Carole Sharp > > > > > ==== ENG-GLO-HAWKESBURY Mailing List ==== > Don't forget to bookmark http://www.HawkesburyFamilyHistory.co.uk and visit regulary. > > ============================== > Search over 600 million names at Ancestry.com! > http://www.ancestry.com/rd/rwlist1.asp >

Barbara, hello from Australia. I have a William SHIPP in my tree. His birth place unknown but hemarried my GGGRandfathers sister Ellen THOMAS at Almondsbury on 5.5.1824. They had 13 children born Ingst/Olveston/Bremhill/Derry Hill and he died at Chiippenham Wilts 5.10.1876. Most of the children I have not traced though their eldest daughter Mary Catherine married Richard Slade and had a Brewery at Chippenham. happy searching Pat. Barbara Stevens wrote: > Hi Carole. Hi Pat, hope you are well & enjoying your summer. Thanks for that info. I will keep a note of it. I dont think we have found this William yet. The only possible would have been son of Samuel SHIPP/Christian COX, b.24.11.1783, & if so would have been 59 when he got married - a bit long in the tooth to then have fathered 13 children, but you never know do you. I will let you know if we come across a more likely candidate.
