All this talk of NATHANIAL CHAPPELL has me champing at the bit! I am wondering if this is the same man who was one of the witnesses, along with ROBERT CHAPPELL, at the marriage in 1777 of JOHN WITCHELL and LUCY RUMMIN (his 3rd wife) at Didmarton. JOHN WITCHELL was the son of WILLIAM WITCHELL and MARY CHAPPELL. ROBERT CHAPPELL was also a witness earlier in 1767 between the same JOHN WITCHELL and CATHERINE CLARKE (his 2nd wife) - the second witness was a NATHANIAL WATTS. It seems therefore that I have a NATHANIAL CHAPPELL and a ROBERT CHAPPELL somewhere in the family - just haven't worked out where yet.
