I thought that was who it might be - but just reported the facts. Th Winterbourne fiches are very faint on the whole - but I don't think I could see Samuel - nor George Hulbert his brother in Thornbury where he was in 1851. These 2 were I think itinerant Ag Labs. Oh well. Keep looking! -----Original Message----- From: Doug Thompson [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: 19 June 2003 17:18 To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [HWK] Ann Thompson: 1861 on 19/6/03 12:44 pm, Marilyn Moffat at [email protected] wrote: > Ann Thompson age 30 is a housemaid on Folio reference RG9-1742 page > 110, in the household of William Mirehouse at Hambrook Grove. Thanks for that Marilyn. It's very likely she is my (and your!) 3g-aunt, sister of Edward Thompson. The only thing we know of her is her christening in Hawkesbury, Nov 1831. We have her as Anna then but that may have changed over time. Doug Thompson ==== ENG-GLO-HAWKESBURY Mailing List ==== Please remember when you post messages that SURNAMES should be in CAPITALS. I got my copy of the 1861 census for Gloucestershire and have been looking for my stray Samuel HULBERT - age would be 39) - last seen Winterbourne. Haven't found him yet but found my first Hawkesbury stray - this may not be news, but Ann Thompson age 30 is a housemaid on Folio reference RG9-1742 page 110, in the household of William Mirehouse at Hambrook Grove. Hi Brian Yes hold the Guiness book of records just happens to be 2 Clementina PERKS both " house Keepers" in same Street couple doors apart the elder was living with Charles TUCK still in 1901 she has the two daughters Amy and Alice and should be aged 57, the other Clementina is also single and living with William CHAPPELL and has child George PERKS aged 2 and marries William Jun 1901 although Clementina was living in France Lane she was born in Acton Turville and I had missed her, the 1901 transcript has her as aged 37 which is correct she was born 1867, the most interesting thing and thanks for the age query is that William is my Great Grandfather ? another scandel. regards Robert. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Brian Morgan" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, June 08, 2003 8:36 AM Subject: Re: [HWK] PERKS 1901 census stray > Hi, Listers > Something amiss (!) here.
