    3. Hi Patsy, Frederick FISHER'S father was Benjamin FISHER, born in Henbury in 1780. He in turn was born to another Benjamin about whom I know nothing. I reckon that he probably came from Gloucester but who knows? The IGI has a Benjamin born inn 1745 in Gt. Washbourne but I've not looked into that. Hope this helps, Maureen -----Original Message----- From: Roger Witchell [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Monday, July 28, 2003 1:33 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [HWK] Allens etc. on 25/7/03 7:27 pm, Maureen Waters at [email protected] wrote: Hi Maureen, I have Hicks and Fisher in my Witchell ( husbands) line. 3. Hi Carole, I do already have this marriage in my database, but I have no other information on the family. Do you happen to know anything more about them? All I know is that Sarah was baptised on 25 Mar 1778 in Cam, daughter of Charles CORDY and Sarah MILLARD. Here is the family on my web site http://www.sheppardfamily.net/fh/cordy/ccordy/d3.htm#i279 . 1. [HWK] News on the THOMPSON line - (Marilyn Moffatt, Annie Thompson, John Crump and me)
    2. Doug Thompson
    3. I hope this is news. Don't tell me you knew it all before! Up till today my line for Anna JAMES, the mother of Mary Jane THOMPSON (who married Edward THOMPSON) stopped with her parents' names. I don't know why because an hour with the Hawkesbury Parish register has extended it a long way today. Her father, William JAMES is on the burial register 9 Jan 1842 aged 88 giving birth at 1754. He appears on the baptisms 29 Mar 1754 son of John and Mary. It then appears likely that his father was christened 25 Sep 1724, son of Daniel JAMES. John was buried 29 Jan 1788. Anna's mother went even better. William JAMES married Mary STIFF 28 Jan 1784. Mary was buried 2 Jan 1825 aged 83 giving a birthdate of 1742. I already had her on my files! She was baptised 2 Dec 1744, daughter of John STIFF and Anne (née MARSH). Anne is the great granddaughter of John MARSH, who is James THOMPSON's (Mary Jane's father) 4-greats grandfather completing another circle. If anyone wants any more details get in touch with me. 2. Coming a little late to this conversation: I have Wickwar WATTS' intermarrying at least twice with my SHIPP and PEGG forebears. None of their names seem to match those in the correspondence so far. The largest group I have of them are the children of Henry WATTS (born c.1783) and Grace nee SHIPP. Their children's births were Susanna in 1810, Ann in 1811, Henry in about 1813, John in about 1815, Hugh in about 1816, William in about 1817, Frederick in about 1819, Joseph Shipp in 1822, Philippa in 1826 and Phyllis (date unknown). Henry senior was the son of John & Frances. If anyone can link to these I'd be interested. John Partington

Hannah was the daughter of Mathew HOPKINS and Martha CREW (whose grandniece Eleanor CREW married Martha's great grandson George KATHRO), her brothers and sisters as far as I can see were Moses (1790) David (1792) Solomon (bef 1799) Susannah (bef 1799) James (1802) Is anybody out there researching the same family? If so I would love to hear from you. Nikki
