Is there anyone out there who could help me unravel a very tangled family history? I'm looking for two families: 1) The family of Samuel Feldman (?) a "Russian-Jewish" immigrant who arrived in the 1860's. He married (we think outside the faith) Mary Ann Keys who was in-service near Gilberdyke when they met. They went on to have 10 children including my great-grandfather. Here's the wrinkle, by the time he married in 1905, Herbert Feldman had become Herbert Fielding (I think I've found him as "Fielding" in the 1901census). 2) The parents and siblings of Susan Wilkinson, born c. 1855 at Immingham, Lincs. I'm very certain that her father was Joseph Wilkinson (from her marriage cert.) and that she married a man named William J. Smith at Beverley in 1874. I'm also certain that she gave birth to a daughter, Hannah, before her marriage. This makes Hannah my g-grandmother and Susan my g-g-grandmother.
