    3. Hi Richard I found the book 'The East Yorkshire Village Book' at Brown's in George Street. Hull on my last visit there a few weeks ago. They had a number of them available then. The book is part of a series called 'The Villages of Britain'. They have been compiled by the Federation of Women's Institutes. I found this book very informative and not just from a Family History point of view but also useful as a guide book, and will certainly refer to it on my next visit to the Yorkshire Region. I have to-day ordered a copy in the same series on Lincolnshire. I was told that the original series is now unavailable but a new edition was issued in September which now includes some colour photographs. I am eagerly awating my copy and just hope that it is as comprehensive and informative as the East Yorkshire area. I know that a lot of Yorkshire folk are researching family in other parts of the Country, so am listing the books available in the series. Hope this isn't too much off subject!!! Avon Bedfordshire Berkshire Buckinghamshire Cambridgeshire Cheshire Cleveland Cornwall Cumbria Derbyshire Devon Dorset Essex Gloucestershire Hampshire Herefordshire Hertfordshire Kent Lancashire Leicester&Rutland Lincolnshire Middlesex Norfolk Northamptionshire Nottinghamshire Oxfordshire Powys Montgomeryshire Shropshire Somerset Staffordshire Suffolk Surrey East Sussex Warwickshire West Midlands Wiltshire Worcestershire North Yorkshire South & West Yorkshire. Phew!!!!! I think I should just have said 'everwhere'. Freda Good Malvern
