I am new to the List and have had success on the 1901 in finding my elusive Grandfather Richard Whitfield (couldn't find him on the 1881). He was born 1871 to a Joseph Whitfield and Letitia Whitfield (nee Davies) in Barrow in Furness, Lancs. In 1901 he is living in Sculcoates with his wife Martha (nee Chapman) and children, his immediate neighbour in Alliance Avenue, Sculcoates is his mother Letitia Whitfield who married into another branch of the Whitfields in 1886. In 1901 there are several Whitfield families living in Sculcoates, all appeared to be in the Slater business. I have spent three years researching Whitfields with success and wonder if there is someone on the List also looking at these three surnames WHITFIELD, CHAPMAN, DAVIES ?
