Hello list have re-subscribed having found new information about my WALLIS family. My 3x g.grandfather is recorded on his son's marriage certificate as a veterinary surgeon. His name is John Bean WALLIS. There is a marriage between someone of this name and a Mary HERON on 3rd October 1817 listed in the IGI, taking place in Garston with Grimston. My request is could sks with access to a Trade Directory do a look-up to see if there is a vet of this name in this area around that time. I know the family moved to Hertford at some time, because that is where his son John Petchell WALLIS was born, but they were back in the Hull area by the time he was married in 1856.
