Hi Karen Thank you for the info you have sent on your JOHNSON line. I'm not sure at this stage if there is any connection with mine. The first thing I have to do is find the marriage of my Robert JOHNSON to a Mary? I have been told by a member of the LINCS list that a Robert JOHNSON married Mary BLACKSTON at Saint John and Saint Martin, Beverley, Yorkshire on 8 Feb 1779. But another lister has now sent the below: Hughwallis site,--- for St.Mary & St.Nicholas Beverley--found the following 1788-25-Sept.--Mary Blackston-married-Richard Sission 1768--12-March.--Robert Johnson-married--Dorothy Dawson. So I am now totally confused. All I know for sure is that they were in Barton Upon Humber LINCS by Nov 1786. Their son Stephen gave his birthplace as Hull on the 1851 census, born c1784. Maybe that is where I should be looking for their marriage. I will get back to you if I find a connection in the future.
