    1. Re: [ERY] Warriners of Dunnington
    2. Hi, Graham, Here they are in the 1881 Census. Dwelling: 29 Abbot St Census Place: Gateshead, Durham, England Source: FHL Film 1342214 PRO Ref RG11 Piece 5037 Folio 125 Page 30 Marr Age Sex Birthplace James WARRINER M 48 M Scorby, York, England Rel: Head Occ: Glasshouse Labourer Elizabeth WARRINER M 35 F Rickell, York, England Rel: Wife Sarah Ann WARRINER 12 F Dunnington, York, Rel: Daur Occ: Scholar Rosetta WARRINER 11 F Dunnington, York, Rel: Daur Occ: Scholar Henry Thos. WARRINER 2 M Gateshead, Durham, Rel: Son If you contact your local Heritage Library and enquire as to them having the St. Catherine's Index, you will be able to search for Rosetta's birth details. The Index is in quarters. You can start with 1870 as this date is given in the 1881 census. When you find it make a note of the quarter. The registration district and the folio number. (e.g. Rosetta Warriner, December quarter 1870, 8D-4567, York) Then, if you wish, you can obtain a copy of her birth certificate from the place of registration. You can do the same for the death certificate of James. Working forward from 1881. Again, if you wish. I do not know if you are aware of what you will find on the birth certificate. The interesting part, I think, is the mother's maiden name. It starts you another line of enquiry!!! Hope this helps your research. Best wishes, Ron Hamilton.
