there is also a plaque on the back of a chair in Beverley Minster: In memory of Corporal John E. Pickard cheers Vanessa Whitehead Kitchener, Ontario -----Original Message----- From: S. They are the PICKARDs in Beverley, 1820 onward, and the BECKETTs in North Frodingham, early to mid 19th century. I'm fairly certain that nearly all the Pickards in Beverley between 1820-1880 were related, having come to Bev from (possibly) Carlton/Coverham in North Yorks. Surnames related to my Pickards in Bev are LEASON, ELDON, SWANN, BRUSBY, OSGERBY and TAIT. Sandy Alexander Toronto, Canada ______________________________
