Hello list Having recently re-subscribed following the discovery of more information related to my WALLIS family, I posted a look up request which doesn't appear to have got through. So I will try again. My 3xG.Grandfather, John Bean WALLIS, is recorded as being a Veterinary Surgeon on his son's, John Petchell WALLIS, marriage certificate. John Bean according to the IGI, but not confirmed, was married to Mary HERON on 3.10.1817 at Garton with Grimston, they then moved to Cheshunt in Hertfordshire where John Petchell was born (confirmed by 1881 census) however by 1856 John Petchell was back in Hull being married to Elizabeth HALL. My request, following that lengthy introduction, involves sks with access to a trade directory for the Garton area, looking to see if there is a vet with the name of John Bean WALLIS.
