I have been unable to find a Robert Lownsborough in the 1841 and 1851 censuses. The Lownsborough/Lonsborough name is very variable and any spelling is likely to be correct. There are 3 of them in east Yorkshire born 1805/1810. One is born and living in Garton on the Wolds who we are not interested in. The one we are interested in should be in the area bounded by Beverley/Hornsea/ Hull and the sea. If anyone with access to any of these censuses is willing to do a lookup I would be very grateful.
