Hi, I am new to the list and I am trying to trace my great grandmother, Jane Calvert who was born around 1835 (ie she was 79 at her death in January 1915). On the 1881 census, by which time she is married to a George Dickinson and living in Saltaire, she listed her place of birth as Myton on Swale, but searches of the registers brought no results. On the 1901 census she has stated her place of birth as Easingwold, and I wondered whether anyone was researching a Calvert family from that area. Alternatively, can anyone tell me where I might locate the Easingwold registers. Jane from Otley.

The Christenings, Marriages and Burials run from 1599 to 1900; 1599 to 1955 and 1599 to 1922 respectively. Regards Mary Varley
