(90) Details can be found at the following address:- http://www3.open.ac.uk/courses/bin/p12.dll?C02A173 The course seems very much for beginners researching in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries with a very surprising concentration on oral, visual and narrative evidence. Official documents such as censuses and civil registration of birth marriage and death form just one of what the OU describes as the five heading "blocks". (presumably this is OU speak for the topics covered or modules within the course) Articles about this course will probably appear in OU magazines and other publicity in the Autumn as I have just done an interview for an OU staff writer's article on genealogy. I have asked for details to be forwarded to me for the December Magazine and will of course pass these on as soon as they arrive. However if anyone sees anything about this course perhaps they would pass them on to me at the Society Else Else Churchill Genealogy Officer Society of Genealogists, 14 Charterhouse Buildings, London, EC1M 7BA Tel +44 020 7702 5488 Fax +44 020 7250 1800.
