    3. Hi Sylvi There was a workhouse in Hull called the Sculcoates Union Workhouse which was established in 1844 on Beverley Road. This became Kingston General Hospital and was demolished to make way for a new school. I have a photograph of this building taking in 1904 in a book called 'Images of England' Kingston Upon Hull, The second selection by Paul Gibson. Also in the same book is a photograph of what was the Hull Workhouse of 1852 on Anlaby Road. The workhouse became Western General Hospital and was demolished to make way for a forecourt for the new 14 storey Hull Royal Infirmary. Hope this of some use. Freda Good Malvern
