Dear list, At Marton Hall, Sewerby, in 1881 the head of the home is given as Charles HUDSON, and his occupation as 'Clergyman No Cure of Souls'. Does this mean he was just an unconvincing clergyman, or can anyone suggest what the meaning could be. The details are taken from the CD's, so there may be some mis-transcribing.
