The following is a summary of the fishing deaths I posted from my 1883 report. I have also included the summary of the Grimsby deaths from fishing vessels which I have been posting on the Lincs list. I don't know about you, but I find these statistics absolutely shocking. They certainly bring home to you what a dangerous occupation fishing was (and still is, though not to the same extent).
