Hi, In July Sheila Cad.. very kindly found a William Markham for me in the 1892 trades directory as a property owner in Great Cowden. Could some very kind person with access to the 1891 census check which of my two William MARKHAM,S this is. No. 1. William MARKHAM married to ANN GAMWELL or No. 2. You will not find any maiden names on the census records. What you need is the ref number from the BMD records and order ther marriage certificates.
