    1. [ERY] HAY in Hull area
    2. Mary Pendlebury
    3. To keep the ball rolling here are details of one of my brick walls in Hull. Can't even get a glimpse round it by using the side-gate. :-) HAY On my great-great-grandparents marriage certificate in 1846 it states that Jane HAY's father is George HAY, musician. The marriage was at Holy Trinity, Hull. I found George HAY marrying Mary SWALES in March 1818. Mary died in 1828 and was buried the day before all the children were baptised in Holy Trinity. Presumably she died having given birth as the youngest child being baptised was only days old. I have been unable to find anything about the George and the children in the 18 years between the baptism and Jane's marriage in 1846. I would assume that George married again having a young family to look after or maybe the children were cared for by grandparents or aunts and uncles. If anyone has any connections with any HAY family I should be pleased to hear from them. Also, if anyone comes across a HAY family with a musician as a father anywhere in Yorkshire give me a shout. Thanks Mary Pendlebury Oldham, Lancashire
