Alan, Riplingham was not a parish but a hamlet straddling more than one parsh. You would need to look at: Elloughton Brantingham Rowley North Ferriby and possibly also Kirk Ella All the regiters are at the East Yorkshire Archives in Beverley and the Bishop's Transcripts at the Borthwick Institute in York. Berverley may also have some of the BT's on film, I'm not sure. Seaton? Do you mean Seaton Ross. If so then bothe the Parish Registers and the Bishop's Transcripts are at the Borthwick Institute in York Regards Chris Watson Links to a Muster Roll of the east Riding of Yorkshire (1636) http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=1123&item=3502083213&rd=1 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=378&item=3501142174&rd=1 > Subject: [ERY] Parish Records > Date: Thu, 20 Feb 2003 20:02:30 -0000 > From: "Alan Atkinson" <Alan.Atkinson4@btinternet.com> > To: ENG-EAST-YORKS-L@rootsweb.com > > Hi All > Does anybody know where parish records would be kept for RIPLINGHAM and > SEATON > > Alan
