    3. Hello David I don't have an Ann Collinson in my tree at the moment - though she may, of course, belong on one of the branches. My earliest Collinson is one Thomas John, born around 1800 in the village of Hook, west of Hull, he married a Sarah, born Elloughton, same area, same time. They both died around 1876. They were the parents of my great grandfather Spence(r), born Anlaby 1836 and married to Susanna(h) Stainton, born Cleethorpes 1837/8. They had at least 9 children, Thomas John, Sarah Ellen, George Henry, Maud Maranna, Alexander Stainton, Edwin, Herbert A., Laura A., and Alfred my grandfather. At least the last 5 were born in Beverley. If they don't belong to you maybe someone else might claim them. I am particularly interested in finding out more about the Stainton family of Grimsby and Cleethorpes. I am led to believe that Susanna's father was a Captain who was lost at sea in 1872. I hope this helps someone.
