Wondering if some kind list member might be able to provide some information about the following: ALICE SAWDON who operated a Boarding house at #8 or 9 BARRACKS TERRACE, Scarborough during the Second World War. She had 3 daughters: OLIVE who married ARTHUR BIRD, HILDA who married JACK WILKINSON, a police officer, and ELSIE who did not marry. ELSIE died on March 15, 1981,at 19 SPRING HILL CLOSE, SCARBOROUGH. It was probably a 'nursing home or seniors' apartments or some such, but I understand it is now some sort of medical centre. Any help gratefully appreciated.
