    2. Hello Leon, There may have been any number of reasons why a babe was baptised in a neighbouring parish. Sometimes a vicar may cover more than one parish, again for several reasons or as you suggest - it was a matter of choice. I noticed in the MIs for Mappleton that Mary's mother? died and was buried at Mappleton in 1833. But her name was PLATTS. On her grave her name Dorcus PLATTS died 8th April, and in the Parish Register Dorcey PLATTS buried 14th April. There is no trace today of any other PLATT/S graves at Mappleton. Regards, Peter Fewson.

    3. Hi, Further to my request for a lookup on the 1861 census, for Mary THISTLETON, which I now have thanks to Jean, I have found that Mary was a Trinity House Pensioner. Has anybody come across any records for Trinity House? Would they list details about pensioners? Thanks Judith Bacchus Marsh, Victoria, Australia
