Hello John I think you have misunderstood the query made by Joan and the answer given by myself. The Beverley Archives that you mention are not part of the Registrar's Office. The Beverley Archives hold things like Parish Registers, etc. People make an appointment to do their own research. The Registrar's Office is where one can obtain copies of marriage, death and birth certificates. The Beverley Registrar's Office moved last summer due to the fact that they were now the holder of the other areas such as Pocklington and Bridlington and needed more space.
