Hi Nancy I have a Jessie Read in my family tree. She was born 1856/7 and married 1886 in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk but settled in Hull with her husband Magnus William Lawrence Stow. They can be found on the 1891 census, living at 7 Elm Tree Row, Hull with 2 children and on the 1901 census at South Parade, Holy Trinity, Hull with 3 younger children (Ref RG13/4504 Folio 67, Page 6). She died in 1931 in Hull. She was my paternal, paternal great grandmother. Is she a relative of yours? Cheers Barbara Ramsden in Cumbria.
