With help from "Hazel" I think I have located Jane DAVISON's birth in 1840. Before spending £7 on a certificate I'd like some corroborative evidence from the Census returns which could give an indication of her d.o.b. I'll try Family Search for 1881 when they are less busy and the PRO for 1901 similarly but 1861, 1871 & 1891 are more difficult. The family in 1862 include William TURNBULL, wife Jane TURNBULL and daughter Joanna Turnbull living in English Street, Myton, Hull. Are there any listers with access to the 1861, 1871 & 1891 census returns (if they exist)? Ever hopeful, GrahamVR
