    3. Hello everyone, I watched a new TV series on channel 4:- '' NOT FORGOTTEN '' about Britains 37,500 war memorials. The program started in HULL where there are street memorials. (I assume many may have been destroyed in WW2). I am researching Lance Corporal WILLIAM HARE 1st Bn East Yorks Reg (b. 30 June 1886 Hull) killed in action Somme 1 July 1916. He was injured at the battle of the Aisne Sept 1914 and must have been sent home to recover, as he married EDITH GRANTHAM on 6 Mar 1915. His residence at time of marriage was 206 Bean Street (Sculcoates ?). I know he is mentioned on the Thiepval monument and I believe he is also named in Beverley Minster (EYR remembrance plaques)(I still have to make the visit). I would be interested if anyone knows if he is mentioned on any Hull memorial, and this may be in the Bean St area. Peter

    3. Peter There is a site called Lost Generations http://www.channel4.com/history/microsites/L/lostgeneration/index.html It has the facility to search for memorials by name. Howvwer, it appears to have a dose of early 1901 census disease.
