Excellent, many thanks Barbara. Crayke, Yorkshire. Yes that was part of his family. Interesting to see a dob and birth place for Ann. Also his grandson John LOWDER (I have him as LOWTHER) To also find his mother's name (Hannah) is a real bonus. His son William, my g-grandfather, had married Sarah Newton of Fylingdales at St Mary's Whitby in 1847. Can you tell me if he is listed in Whitby in 1851? Many thanks once again.
