I am trying to find his 'place of birth'. (His name is on the marriage certificate of 1857, of his son Robert, married in Bishop Wilton). No luck this time , Bill ! Was his wife Hannah ? Any other clues ? From Freebmd I found a possible death for B H . The age [ 74 ] tallies but the registration district , though in N Yorks, is rather far east of the Barnby Moor area : Dec Q 1870 Stokesley 9d / 328 Best Wishes Pat

    3. Hi Pat~ Thank you for the reply... Gosh, his wife, on the 1841 census is Ann, along with the list of children. The only other items I have are the marriage records, mentioned below, of his son Robert, and also his son John. There is also a write up on GENUKI: The Parish of Bossall with Buttercramb. an article written by Rev. NY.Hooper. It mentions Benjamin HARRISON, 3/4 down in the paragraph. He hunted polecat or foumart within the area of the hunting grounds of the Anglo-Saxon kings. Written in the churchbook of Bossall by Churchwardens: Easter 1833, paid to Benjn. HARRISON, Keeper, for six foumarts, 2s 0d. Sons: Robert born in Claxton, Bapt. in Bossall June 10, 1832 Stephen " " " " July 26, 1835 5 Earlier children born in Elvington, starting in 1819. The only marriage on Family Search for 'a' - Benjamin & Ann is Nov.25,1815 Saint M Mary Bishophill Senior, York, Yorkshire. But I am not sure if this is them of not. I have no other proof. Possibly them?? I am just wondering if there is another way, of searching for more information on him. Many thanks for you help, Bill From: <[email protected]> wrote...
