Like Victor I also use Family Historian. I have found it very flexible and as simple or as complex as I wish it to be . Among it's many useful functions are: 1. The ability to show all records where the occupation is listed as lime burner (e.g.) 2. Likewise all records associated with a particular place, e.g. West Heslerton 3. It is possible to edit, add, delete records using a diagram view. - wonderful! 4. There is an all relatives function 5. Bits of complex diagrams can be switched on or off so that one gets just what one wants. 6. The ability to do many different types of analysis. 7. It uses GEDCOM 5.5 as a base so there is no difficulty importing or exporting data. Personally I would not wish to move to anything else. As Victor says a new improved Version is out in January.
