Thanks for your sharing your information Bill. Unfortunately I don't know of a connection as yet, but I have the following and am hoping to learn more as most of the early Lav*r*ck families are in clusters around the EYR: 3 x g-grandparents - Thomas Laverack and Sarah Priestley (mis-transcribed in register by incumbent as Preston) both of the Parish, married at Bubwith 25 November 1787. No burials yet found. I have been wondering if they moved around the district from Balkholme to possibly Harlthorp. 2 x great grandfather William Laverack born 26/08/1788 at Balkholme, christened at Howden 21/09/1788. William was of Bubwith parish when he married Mary Bird by licence at Market Weighton 06/12/1810. From then until 1830s they farmed at South Cave Common. By 1841 census William and Mary had picked up their cart and along with their many adult children moved to Leeds and were never farmers again. Cheers for now, Ann -----Original Message----- From: Bill Marsden [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Monday, January 30, 2006 1:49 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [ERY] Laverack, Bird, Vardall Families of East Riding I have the following LAVERACK family: Descendants of William Laverack 1 William Laverack b: in North Duffield, Yorkshire, England +Ann Laverack 2 Lydia Laverack b: 15 March 1754 in North Duffield, Yorkshire, England d: 28 July 1810 in Riccall, Yorkshire East Riding, England +Thomas Marston b: About 1751 in Buttercrombie, Yorkshire, England m: 5 November 1781 in Riccall, Yorkshire East Riding, England d: Bef. 2 February 1825 in Kelfield Parish of Stillingfleet, Yorkshire East Riding, England 2 Ann Laverack +William Precious b: in East Cottingwith, England Regards, Bill Marsden ==== ENG-EAST-YORKS Mailing List ==== If your stuck ask for help but remember lookups are hard work on un-indexed census ============================== Search Family and Local Histories for stories about your family and the areas they lived.
