    1. Re: [ERY] The RANK family of the South HOLDERNESS and later Hull.
    2. Hi Peter, Thanks for that. The RANKs certainly seem to be fairly prolific in Holderness. Some great names too: how about Newyear RANK chr 1 Jan 1799? Or William Bacchus RANK b 17 Nov 1803? Taking your points as you numbered them: 1. I'd taken Alice's approx DoB from the census, hence the slight difference? 2. The name Frank STEPHENSON certainly sounds right. It crops up again in the next generation as one of (H)Ellen's nephew's through her brother William. 3. The details of (H)Ellen's death tally. She was at 91 Marlborough Ave in the 1901 census 4. Don't think either of your William STEPHENSONs are mine unfortunately. Ellen's brother was b 28 Nov 1831 in Routh. and m Jane Elizabeth GOFORTH (b 10 Jan 1858) in Beverley in 1877. When I have a little more time I'll post further details of the STEPHENSON line to see if it sparks any more connections. David Brown Lancashire [email protected]
