Mornin' Mary Lou, James Dickenson COUPLAND on 1871 census - aged 23, Lab. in Iron Wks born in Paull, ERY (a nextdoor parish to BURSTWICK!). He and Ellen living at 2, Emilys Place, Hull Holy Trinity. 1851 census - I only have the Index, but 'twould seem his father was John, 36, b. Ottringham, (another neighbouring parish) and his mother, Rebecca, 36, b. Paull. He had siblings, Ann E., 12, Robert, 10, Hannah, 8, James himself aged 5, Arthur, 2, all born Paull. It looks as though John was baptised at Ottringham on 7 May 1815 s/o Margaret. If Margaret was married and her husband absent I cannot help, but if she was single you have two choices - Margaret d/o Sarah, bap 5 Apr 1807 or Margaret d/o George bap 2 Oct 1796. I cannot find any of them in Ottringham MIs. There is a James and Ann buried at Paull, but their grave no. in the EYFHS MIs is incorrectly listed as '22' - - that is an IVESON grave.
