I wonder if anyone has access to the parish records for SCARBOROUGH. I have found a marriage on the IGI for a Wingfield Richard WILLIS and Ann BIELBY in Scarborough on 20th August 1829 and would be grateful for a look up. I don't suppose it will give me any more information but it is worth asking. I am trying to trace my 3x great grandfather and all I know is that on the census records he gives his birthplace as Scarborough and his wife Ann's as Bridlington and on his son's marriage certificate it gives his occupation as mariner. I've been doing some research recently at the Borthwick Institute for Archives in York, looking at the parish records for Crambe and Bossall. Bielby was a name that appeared regularly there.
